Kenyans have been angered with the recent move by the ministry of health in distributing unhealthy drugs to HIV patients.
KEMSA flagged off toxic ARVS already banned from use in Kenya just to show USAID who is the boss. The drugs were supposed to be destroyed in 2019.
Below are the counties where toxic drugs were supplied to.
The counties are; Nairobi, Nyeri, Machakos, Nakuru, Narok, Kajiado, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Siaya, Bungoma, Homa Cove, Kirinyaga, Kericho, West Pokot, Nyamira, Kisii, Kakamega, Siaya, Migori, Kwale, Marsabit, Kitui Busia, Kilifi, Meru, Trans Nzoia, Mombasa and Nyandarua Wajir, Kisumu, Vihiga, Busia, Embu and Uasin Gishu.
The drugs esteemed at Sh1.2 billion bundled in 24,800 boxes were hailed off from the Nairobi Kemsa supply chain store on Thursday.
Three of the 29 ARVS flagged off by KEMSA include, Lamivudine, Zidovudine & Nevirapine were some of the drugs that were phased out, KEMSA said drugs were destroyed but they kept them.

It is believed that flagging off toxic ARVS to 31 counties last Thursday as the consignment was from an old stock from Global Fund in 2019.
Now from toxic Mercury Sugar to TOXIC ARVs.
These ARVs phased out years ago due to their adverse side effects on patients, but they still sent them to counties.
