The autopsy of the late Caroline Kangogo was revealed today, Tuesday, July 27th, by a government pathologist.
Caroline Kangogo, the fleeing police officer, died of a single gunshot wound to the head, according to Chief government pathologist Johansen Oduor, who revealed the reason for her death at Iten Hospital mortuary.

Oduor admitted to Kangogo shooting herself in the chin, causing damage to her skull and brain, and then killing herself.
According to the pathologist, Kangogo committed suicide in the bathroom of her parent’s home in Anin, Elgeyo Marakwet, on Friday, July 16.
A more conclusive ballistic report on the gun seized at the crime site will also be released by DCI. According to family members, Kangogo will now be buried on Thursday, July 29.

After Oduor failed to show up for the autopsy on Friday, July 23, he complained that he had been informed late. Kangogo’s father sobbed outside the hospital, mourning the deliberate delay.
“My intention is to bury my daughter. I’ve never had a problem with anyone. All I want is my daughter’s body “Barnaba Kibor, a former police officer, filed a complaint.
The DCI will now issue his final report, which will contain information regarding the gun found at the crime site.
After the long-awaited procedure was conducted successfully, Kangogo’s parents are relieved and may now bury their daughter.
