On Sunday, August 29, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria asked One Kenyan Alliance (OKA) leader Musalia Mudavadi to join Deputy President William Ruto’s hustling movement.
Speaking at the A.I.P.C.K Church in Githunguri, Kiambu County, Ruto invited Mudavadi to join his “hustler movement” if things did not work out with his new OKA party.
He then went on to criticize OKA’s numerous meetings with President Uhuru Kenyatta, which many regard as an attempt by the President to sway the outcome of the 2022 General Election, telling the ANC boss that the President would not assist him win the presidency.
“If it doesn’t work well for you in OKA, come to the hustler movement and join us,” advised Kuria.
“You are always welcome to design your own route if the discussions with the President do not bear fruit in your quest for next year’s elections,” Kuria said.
Mudavadi should be more proactive in travelling the Mt. Kenya region and actively seeking votes from the Mt. Kenya electorate, according to the legislator.

“Musalia, I’d like to inform you that what you’ve done by going to Mt. Kenya is the way to go. Even if you meet with Uhuru twenty or thirty times, nothing will happen. Uhuru will have no impact on the upcoming elections; Kenyans are knowledgeable enough to make their own electoral judgments without being swayed by anyone.”
“I will feel very horrible if we don’t see you (Moses Wetangula) holding any position in government come next elections,” the outspoken MP predicted.
The legislator also chastised the President for his recent remarks about the 2022 General Election being postponed if the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission was not prepared to conduct the elections.
“I respect President Kenyatta and consider him a friend, but I must disagree with him and inform him that the IEBC’s preparation has no bearing on next year’s elections. Either we are prepared or we are not prepared.”
