Residents of Navakholo in Kakamega county were yesterday shocked when a 14-year-old class is pupil was reported to have killed his colleague and proceeded to dump his body in River Simakina.
The class six pupil who is in police custody is said to have killed the colleague over a meal of ugali and Kunde on October 14, 2021.
The OCPD of Navakholo police station Richard Omanga while confirming this stated that the deceased (10 years old) was attacked while he was heading family cattle.
the two pupils are said to be neighbors and reports indicated that the class six pupil arrived home hungry only to be told that his food was eaten by his neighbour and he followed him.
It is there when he followed him and hit him with a blunt object killing him in the spot. He then proceeded to dumb the body in the nearby river.
On Friday the class six pupil (14 years old) went to school and reported that he had killed his colleague leading his teachers to the crime scene.
The body of the deceased had severe head injury and was taken to Kakamega referral Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
